Free Customer Service at CrossCheck

on Wed, Dec 13, 2017 @ 12:22 PM By | Joe Gargiulo | 0 Comments | CrossCheck
“Free customer service” — sounds pretty simple, doesn’t it? Customer service has been free at CrossCheck since its inception in 1983, but it has taken considerable effort to provide merchants with useful information year after year, day or night, and even on major holidays. In an era when quality merchant support is a vanishing entity, CrossCheck’s Customer Service department remains committed to providing individualized assistance to every merchant. The quality of the free customer service can be attributed to the dedication of a veteran management team conducting hands-on supervision and quality control measures to ensure uncompromising standards of excellence.

on Tue, Sep 06, 2016 @ 01:57 PM By | Joe Gargiulo | 2 Comments | CrossCheck
“One of the primary reasons merchants change check processing firms is that they are receiving a greater number of declined checks,” said Senior VP Charles Dortch. “CrossCheck approves more checks than the competition because we are willing to take more risk.” The 40+ years in business company satisfies merchant needs while remaining successful by offering solutions that incorporate its vast experience in the financial services industry, the latest technology, and winning strategies that have evolved with the times.

The History of CrossCheck in the Payments Industry

on Wed, Jun 22, 2016 @ 01:00 PM By | Maria Shayna Tzouvelekis | 0 Comments | CrossCheck
The year was 1983. The Police and Phil Collins dominated the music charts; Sally Ride became the first American woman to visit space; and down on Earth in Petaluma, California, a new payment processing company took its first breath. Founder Timothy LaBadie named it “CrossCheck.” The firm was established on the premise of improving existing payment processing services for merchants. While operating a record store, LaBadie received a pitch for a check guarantee service. Not being satisfied with the approach that was presented, he gathered a dynamic team of people and created a business model based on the concept of Standard Check Guarantee. Thirty-three years later, what began as a basic necessity for businesses has morphed into customized payment processing for businesses in virtually every industry. The continued success of the company can be attributed to many factors, including CrossCheck’s attention to customer needs as well as the company’s adaptability during a time of digitalization.

First impressions are very important. Sociologists say when we meet someone, we form an impression about them in the first eight seconds, and once that happens, it is difficult to change. It turns out that we are creatures of habit, and you could say habits rule our lives. This is probably a good thing because the habits we develop early in life give us a construct to evaluate fact from fantasy and truth from fiction. Hopefully they allow us to make rational decisions based on evidence, not emotions.
