Petaluma, Calif. (April 24, 2017) — CrossCheck, a payments guarantee company, has promoted Debbie Harlin Keene to the position of controller. She reports directly to Executive Vice President of Finance Dave Kilat.
Harlin Keene is an accomplished tax and accounting professional with 14-plus years in the field and 20-plus years of business experience. She joined CrossCheck as the assistant controller in September 2014, gaining hands on experience with all key accounting functions, processes and reporting requirements of the company.
“Debbie’s previous experience has been instrumental in assessing the tax implications of the company’s growth strategies as well as ensuring our compliance with states’ filing requirements,” said Kilat. "She has proven to be a strong leader with exceptional planning skills and accountability as well as a great work ethic.”
As controller, Harlin Keene will be responsible for the further refinement of CrossCheck's tax preparation and planning, ensuring compliance with federal and state tax regulations and researching state filing and registration requirements.

Harlin Keene is a licensed California CPA and is a member of the American Institute of CPAs. Harlin Keene earned her Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from Loyola University Chicago and her Masters in Taxation from Golden Gate University.
