Petaluma, California (August 16, 2017) — Employees at CrossCheck, a payments guarantee company, contributed $4032 to the American Cancer Society during a two-month fundraising effort. CrossCheck is currently ranked third among 44 corporate teams participating in the program. Employees from offices in Petaluma, California; Irving, Texas; and Fargo, North Dakota took part in the activities.
Individual members were awarded various levels of “Dress Down Days” in June and July as a function of their contributions — from simply wearing jeans and casual shirts, to shorts and casual footwear, to shorts and flip-flops for the largest donors. The staff also placed bills and coins in a “Money Jug” near the main lobby.
“Our employees were very generous in their contributions to this worthy cause,” said CrossCheck President and CEO J. David Siembieda. “Fundraising for the American Cancer Society is part of our company-wide commitment to giving back.”
Some employees will be volunteering as registration coordinators during the Petaluma Relay for Life at Casa Crande High School on August 26.
In other community service, CrossCheck employees take an active role in holiday food drives that aggregate turkeys and fill barrels of food for the Committee on the Shelterless (COTS) and its Thanksgiving Day turkey drive partner, the Redwood Empire Food Bank. They also support the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program and local efforts to support those affected by natural disasters.
