ROHNERT PARK, Calif. –CrossCheck, Inc., a national payment approval and guarantee company, and Optio Solutions, LLC., an accounts receivable management company, announced a donation of over $7,500 to the American Cancer Society Relay For Life. Employees for the two companies participated in the 24-hour relay event and raised funds through team sponsorships and company events. The event was held in Petaluma, California on September 25 and 26, 2010.
“We had a lot of employee interest in being part of this important event this year. We had several employees take an active part in the committees, as well as being team captains, and we held several fun events and raffles where everyone was able to contribute. This has been a great experience for CrossCheck,” said J. David Siembieda, CrossCheck President and CEO.
Employees for the two companies raised funds by donating to “dress down” days, bake sales, parking raffles, recycling and a penny drive. The CrossCheck/Optio Solutions team members took turns walking and running the track over a 24-hour period starting Saturday morning. Seventy-five teams participated in the Petaluma Relay For Life event and raised over $219,000. The American Cancer Society Relay For Life events are held throughout the US and in 19 other countries.
