PETALUMA, Calif. – CrossCheck, Inc., a national payment approval and guarantee company, announced a donation of over $6,100 to the American Cancer Society Relay For Life. Employees participated in company-hosted fund raising events along with being part of the relay weekend held September 15 and 16, 2012 at Casa Grande High School in Petaluma, California.
“Our employees have been contributing to this amazing event for over three years now and we look forward to participating each year. I'm proud that we can be part of this very important cause,” said J. David Siembieda, CrossCheck President and CEO.
Employees for CrossCheck made donations for “dress down” days, prime parking space raffles and pizza lunches along with holding a competitive penny drive. The CrossCheck team members took turns walking and running the track over a 24-hour period starting Saturday morning. Sixty-seven teams participated this year in the Petaluma Relay For Life event and raised over $177,000.
American Cancer Society Relays are held throughout the US and in 19 other countries. More than 4 million people participate in the events each year. Information about the national event, getting involved and upcoming dates and locations can be found at www.relayforlife.org.
