Petaluma, Calif. (December 19, 2016) — CrossCheck, a leading provider of check processing services in the nation, celebrated the holidays by participating in the Salvation Army Angel Tree program and the Annual Food & Funds Drive for the Redwood Empire Food Bank. Employees placed dozens of Christmas presents under the Angel Tree and aggregated three large barrels of food for the drive.

Employees of CrossCheck, a corporate sponsor of a Salvation Army Angel Tree, selected a tag from its decorated Christmas tree to fulfill one of the suggested gift requests. The Salvation Army of Petaluma provides hundreds of gifts each Christmas to children in need through the efforts of this program. Low income families with children ages 0-17 are invited to sign up for gifts.

The Redwood Empire Food Bank’s Annual Food & Funds Drive runs November 1, 2016 through January 31, 2017, enabling thousands of Sonoma County businesses, schools, community centers, organizations and individuals to help the one in six Sonoma County residents struggling with hunger.

CrossCheck“CrossCheck has been a champion of the local community during our 33 years in Sonoma County,” said CEO, J. David Siembieda. “That longevity enables us to look beyond our individual needs and extend a helping hand during the holiday season and beyond.”

Employees also participate in annual philanthropic programs for the Alzheimer’s Association, American Cancer Society, American Red Cross, Dallas Fallen Officers Fund, and a turkey drive organized by COTS (Committee on the Shelterless) for a Thanksgiving Day feast at Petaluma Kitchen.
