FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Petaluma, Calif. (September 8, 2016) — CrossCheck, a leading provider of check processing services in the USA, conducted a fundraiser during the month of August to support the efforts of the American Cancer Society Relay for Life. Employees from all company locations donated a total of  $2197 to qualify for “dress down days” in September.

Employees participated by donating $30 for four weeks of dress down days, $40 for four weeks of dress down days (including one week of short pants), or via the five-gallon coin jugs in each location.

“CrossCheck fully supports the mission and programs of the American Cancer Society,” said President and CEO J. David Siembieda. “Like most businesses and organizations, many of our families has personally experienced the effects of this devastating disease.”

About the Relay For Life

More than four million people in over 20 countries raise funds and awareness to save lives from cancer through the Relay For Life movement each year. At Relay For Life events, communities across the globe come together to honor cancer survivors, remember people lost to the disease, and honor people who have fought or are fighting cancer.

Relay For Life teams camp out overnight and take turns walking or running around a track or path at a local high school, park or fairground. Events are up to 24 hours long, and because cancer never sleeps, each team is asked to have at least one participant on the track at all times.
