CrossCheck Salutes Petaluma Little Leaguers with a Limo Ride

PETALUMA, Calif. – CrossCheck, Inc., a leading provider of check guarantee and electronic check processing services with headquarters in Petaluma, today announced a donation of funds to cover a limousine ride home for the Petaluma National All-Stars players returning to Sonoma County after weeks of competing at the Little League Baseball World Series held in South Williamsport, Pennsylvania. The team will compete for the United States championship on Saturday, August 25. The winner will go on to compete for the world championship on Sunday.
 
The $1000 donation by CrossCheck employees will provide a limousine to pick up the players at the airport on Monday, August 27. A police escort will also be on hand to welcome them home.

"As a local Petaluma business, we are thrilled here at CrossCheck to be part of the excitement and joy the Petaluma National All-Stars have given so many through their journey to the Little League World Series. We would like to honor the players and coaches on their return home from the airport by providing $1,000 for limousine transportation and other incidental expenses," said J. "The accomplishment of the team and coaching staff will not be forgotten and will go a long way in encouraging future Little Leaguers to keep the dream alive," he added.

The Petaluma National All-Stars team is composed of 12-13 year olds.  They represent the Western Region of the United States having won the West Regional Tournament held August 3 - 11 in San Bernardino, California.

The Little League International Tournament is open to any chartered league in the United States and more than 80 other countries. Tournament play in all eight Little League divisions began in July.
