CrossCheck Certifies E3™ Terminal from Heartland Payment Systems®

PETALUMA, Calif. – CrossCheck, Inc., a national payment approval and guarantee company, announced today the development and certification of CrossCheck's check guarantee applications on Heartland Payment Systems' E3 terminal. These applications support authorizations through CrossCheck's host for standard check guarantee and electronic check conversion services. E3 encrypts and secures credit and debit card data from the moment a card is swiped or hand-keyed all the way through the processing of the transaction, rendering the data useless to cyber criminals.

E3 terminals feature layers of security, employing both tamper-resistant hardware and encryption at swipe or key entry. E3 securely automates the process of changing the encryption keys that convert sensitive account information to encrypted data.

"CrossCheck is pleased to work with Heartland and we share their commitment to providing merchants and their customers the highest degree of security available. Merchants today need a combination of technology and security to process their payments and the E3 terminals used with our check processing programs are a great solution," said J. David Siembieda, President and CEO of CrossCheck, Inc.

”CrossCheck’s guarantee services complement the secure card processing that E3 provides our merchants,” said Michael W. English, executive director of product development for Heartland Payment Systems.  “Their service, experience and knowledge help Heartland provide a comprehensive payment acceptance solution.”

CrossCheck's check guarantee services, including remote deposit capture and electronic check processing, along with the E3 terminals, are available from Heartland Payment Systems and CrossCheck resellers.
