Home Furnishings Reign at the Fall High Point Market

home furnishingsThe fall installment of High Point Market, the largest home furnishings tradeshow in the world, takes place October 14 – 18 in High Point, North Carolina. The event is scheduled twice each year, attracting more than 75,000 attendees such as furniture dealers, interior designers, architects, buyers and others to a program of exhibits as well as educational and networking opportunities.

Educational Events

High Point’s educational events are an exceptional resource for finding inspiration, gathering new ideas or learning about innovations in the home furnishings industry. High Point Market is also hosting a series of featured events, each one uniquely designed to appeal to attendees’ individual tastes in home furnishings. Below are a few of the featured events:

Stars Under the Stars

Saturday and Sunday evening, people can decompress with free food, beverages and live music from American Idol finalist Casey James and 1970s Classic Rock band Grand Funk Railroad. Doors open at 7 pm and the show starts at 7:30 pm.

Design Viewpoints Series

In partnership with the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), these thought-provoking sessions are led by leading experts in the US home design industry. Paula Wallace, president and founder of Savannah College of Art and Design, and other speakers touch on the topics of global expansion, hospitality design, project management and more. Interior Design Summit

Top designers and experts present a full day of educational seminars at the Interior Design Summit, covering everything from how to market value and increase profits to digital branding and determining fees. Attendees will enjoy powerful masterminding and networking sessions as well as breakfast and lunch.

Keynote Series

Series attendees can take a deeper look into the power of design as well as building a global brand and what it takes to do so. Some of the featured speakers for this series are Drew and Jonathan Scott, founders of Scott Living and stars of the popular HGTV series, Property Brothers.

Social Events

Spanning along the four days are an array of different social events tailored to attendee’s specific business needs. These offerings range from Breakfast with Fremarc Designs to Happy Hour at The Antique & Design Center Boiler Room Bar.
