Auto Dealerships' Top Five Concerns [Infographic]

Posted by Sara Holt | Fri, Nov 10, 2017 @ 08:45 AM

Our illustrative expression of the Q3 2017 Cox Automotive Dealer Sentiment Index shows that auto dealerships are somewhat concerned about existing conditions in the marketplace, but more positive about what they expect over the next three months. In addition to their top five concerns, dealers also mentioned pricing pressure, increasing costs of doing business, declining profits, slow customer traffic, and a lack of inventory.

Auto dealerships were asked a series of questions via an online survey such as:

  • How do you rate the customer traffic to your dealership over the past 3 months?
  • How would you describe the current used vehicle sales environment?
  • How would you describe your dealership's current staffing levels?

The Cox Automotive Dealer Sentiment Index is a new product from Cox Automotive. The next issue of the quarterly report will be released in December 2017.
