FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Petaluma, Calif. (Dec. 26, 2018) — Fourteen employees from CrossCheck and its affiliate, Optio Solutions, helped package 7,104 pounds of grocery boxes while volunteering at the Redwood Empire Food Bank on Dec 18. Volunteer Coordinator Joy Ferguson said the 240 boxes represent 5,920 meals for seniors in need.
December is the eighth consecutive month that the CrossCheck and Optio team has volunteered at the REFB’s weekday Warehouse Support program.
CrossCheck Senior Vice President Charles Dortch III organizes and participates in each monthly effort. As is often the case, he was joined by other members of senior management as well as CrossCheck Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Office Chris Schumacher.
“Our monthly volunteer night at the food bank is especially meaningful during the holiday season,” said Schumacher. “Our team enjoyed the spirit of community giving and the chance to work side-by-side with employees from different departments.”
