Petaluma, California (January 9, 2018) — CrossCheck, a payments guarantee company, has promoted Shane Miller to the position of senior vice president Information Systems. Miller joined CrossCheck in August 2007 as vice president of Information Systems (IS), and continues to direct managers of sections within the IS department: Programming, Network Services, IS Operations and Retail Systems Support.

He and his team are responsible for ensuring the flow of information, whether it’s authorizations, account recovery, email, network services or support for point-of-sale equipment.

“We look forward to Shane’s future contributions to the business in his new role as senior vice president,” said EVP & COO Chris Schumacher.

Miller also directs information systems for CrossCheck’s subsidiary, Optio Solutions, LLC, including data security protocols for PCI DSS 3.2 and SSAE 16 SOC I Type II certifications while maintaining state compliance requirements.

“Utilizing Shane’s leadership and talent, the IS team has been instrumental in building out our security and infrastructure which allows us to meet our clients' needs,” said Schumacher.

Miller welcomes the challenge of directing information services for two financial service companies.

To ensure the continued success of CrossCheck’s merchant services, the IS department is developing an application called “Focus” that bypasses web browser interface. Focus, built in-house from the ground up, addresses the challenge of supporting disparate operating platforms (mobile, gateway and desktop) to provide a simplified merchant experience and improved data security.

Beta testing of Focus began October 2016 and over 800 merchants are actively using it to authorize transactions and view funding status.
