PETALUMA, Calif. –CrossCheck, Inc., a national payment approval and guarantee company, announced a donation of over $1,620 to the American Red Cross to support the relief efforts in Oklahoma, North Dakota, Tennessee and Iowa after the areas were hit by a series of tornadoes in May. Employees for the two companies raised money by purchasing “Dress-Down” passes that allowed them to wear jeans to work.
“The damage to the areas impacted by the tornadoes was tremendous. Our employees really wanted to reach out to help the victims during this difficult time and I am proud that we were able to make a donation for relief efforts through the Red Cross,” said J. David Siembieda, CrossCheck President and CEO.
The American Red Cross is a not-for-profit, non-governmental organization that responds to approximately 70,000 disasters in the United States every year. Donations to the organization help provide shelter, food, health and mental health services to help families and entire communities get back on their feet. A multi-agency resource center set up by the American Red Cross and partner agencies in Moore, OK assisted storm victims after the area was hit by an EF5 tornado on May 20, 2013.
