PETALUMA, Calif. –CrossCheck, Inc., a national payment approval and guarantee company, announced a donation of over $8,800 to the American Cancer Society Relay For Life. Employees participated in company hosted fund raising events for several months leading up to the relay weekend on September 17 and 18, 2011 in Petaluma, California.
“This is the second year in a row that we've actively participated as a company and the interest and enthusiasm was huge. The events on site here were a lot of fun and offered a way for everyone to contribute in some way. We set a goal to exceed the $7500 we donated last year and we accomplished that easily. We're already gearing up to do it again next year,” said J. David Siembieda, CrossCheck President and CEO.
Employees for CrossCheck raised funds by donating to “dress down” days, parking raffles, a pizza lunch and competitive penny drive. The CrossCheck team members took turns walking and running the track over a 24-hour period starting Saturday morning. Seventy teams participated in the Petaluma Relay For Life event and raised over $195,000. The American Cancer Society Relay For Life events are held throughout the US and in 19 other countries.
