Medical Practices Increase Sales with Smart Management Systems

Posted by Joe Gargiulo on Tue, Mar 29, 2016 @ 07:00 AM

Few things in life function properly right out of the box. Purchase a guitar, and there are bridges to dial in and strings to replace. Buy a new car, and there are seats to adjust and a clock to set. Add a new computer, and there are desktop pictures to choose and hundreds of apps to personalize, including the email client and web browsers. It never ends. What about online management systems for medical practices, especially those claiming to integrate a handful of platforms in one easy-to-use package?

Smart management and marketing solutions may indeed simplify and fulfill multiple functions, but the learning curve for setup and operation is extensive. Following a successful launch, the proper management of all sources can increase sales by improving the quantity and quality of patients walking through the door.

Posted by Joe Gargiulo on Fri, Mar 25, 2016 @ 07:00 AM

The 2014 Annual Report of ATV-Related Deaths and Injuries by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) indicates a decline in reported deaths and injuries resulting from ATV incidents, especially in the last 10 years. The improved numbers could rejuvenate a relatively flat ATV sales market in the USA from 2012 to 2014.

Research Study on Mislabeling of Pit Bulls by Shelters & Veterinarians

Posted by Joe Gargiulo on Thu, Mar 24, 2016 @ 07:39 AM

“Shelter staff and veterinarians routinely make subjective dog breed identification based on appearance, but their accuracy regarding pit bull-type breeds is unknown,” states a study published by The Veterinary Journal in July 2015. Dr. Julie Levy from the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Florida is a dog lover and the lead author of the project, “Inconsistent Identification of Pit Bull-type Dogs by Shelter Staff.”

"[The] identification of dogs as pit bulls can trigger an array of negative consequences, from the loss of housing, to being seized by animal control, to the taking of the dog's life," said Dr. Levy in Science Daily.

Thus, veterinarians can provide a greater service to pets and pet parents as well as local governments burdened with policing mislabeled dogs by making minor adjustments to their labeling practices.

The Future of Building Materials Sales Using 3D Printers

Posted by Joe Gargiulo on Sun, Mar 13, 2016 @ 08:00 AM

Jay Leno — comedian, former late-night TV entertainer, and current host of Jay Leno’s Garage — recently made the news for driving the world’s first 3D printed automobile, the 2015 Local Motors Strati. More importantly, at least from the technological perspective, Leno has been an early adopter of 3D printing in his Big Dog Garage where he curates a collection of 300-plus cars and motorcycles. The Burbank, California facility features 3D engineering and production software as well as 3D scanners, inspection tools and printers. Leno and his team make some replacement parts on site, but they special order others from companies having more sophisticated 3D equipment.

Increase Auto Aftermarket Sales with Cooperative Marketing

Posted by Joe Gargiulo on Wed, Mar 09, 2016 @ 07:00 AM

It is often said that "success is gauged by the company you keep" and the same can be said of auto aftermarket retailers in a global economy where stiff competition encourages mutually-beneficial relationships with auto dealerships.

The spotlight shines on three outstanding auto aftermarket retailers that specialize in servicing one make of vehicle. This exclusive commitment adds a degree of separation between them and parts houses targeting dozens if not hundreds of auto types. It also creates sensational opportunities for them to partner with like-minded dealerships and vice versa. The whole is certainly greater than the sum of the parts as these cooperative marketing efforts attract a broader consumer base to increase sales.

Check Guarantee and the State of Payment Data Security

Posted by Joe Gargiulo on Tue, Mar 08, 2016 @ 07:00 AM

A January 2016 study concluded that modern payment methods are jeopardizing the security of payment data. The impact of the “Global Study on the State of Payment Data Security” was determined after researchers surveyed 3,773 IT and IT security practitioners worldwide, including the USA and Europe.

On the global scale, 72% believe “new payment methods such as mobile payments, contactless payments and e-wallets are putting payment data at risk” while an alarming 54% say their company’s payment data has been breached in the past two years.

Posted by Joe Gargiulo on Mon, Mar 07, 2016 @ 11:00 AM

There are guarantees in life and then there are guarantees. It’s all about where the emphasis is placed, and in some cases, the person or organization vowing to the fulfillment. CrossCheck’s Plus Sales Check Approval Service falls into the second category because it goes above and beyond where no check guarantee company has gone before.

Plus Sales is a stand-alone guarantee program that turns declined checks into approvals. Merchants use it in conjunction with their existing check guarantee service. If a primary provider declines a check approval, Plus Sales fills the gap between lost revenue and a completed sales transaction.
