As a payments industry leader for 31 years now (our birthday was last week!), we regularly attend industry conferences across the country. Here is a list of 2015 events that we are considering attending. We are proud to be members of these associations which allow us to be on the forefront of payments industry trends and how to best increase sales, reduce risk, save time, and money for merchants just like you. Here’s a sneak peek of where you can find us in 2015:
What comes to mind when you think of Jay Z? Is it Beyonce? 99 Problems? The Brooklyn Nets, of which he used to be a minority owner? Certainly marketing and sales don't come to mind. Although, he did coin the phrase, "I'm not a businessman... I'm a business, man." It's not every day a legendary, multi-platinum rapper wins you a ticket to a marketing conference. But that's exactly what happened to me.
The Las Vegas Market has begun and I’m here on site with thousands of home furnishing dealers, store owners, designers, buyers and vendors. CrossCheck Director of Sales Jason Lindell and I are happy to be back this summer. Market week provides us a chance to meet with current and potential clients and reconnect with our pals from the North American Home Furnishings Association (NAHFA). Though much is the same here - great offerings, a positive vibe, excited buyers…there are a few changes, too. And change is good, right?
I’ve returned from attending the MidWest Acquirers Association's 11th Annual Conference this week in Chicago. It was a good trip and I had the chance to visit with many of our ISOs and payment services partners. It’s apparent that the payment processing industry is heating up again.(Or maybe it was the 90 degree weather?) Mobile payments solutions were hot, of course, but I also received a lot of attention on our new MED-RDC service. A remote deposit capture service just for medical businesses, you ask?Well, yes, and we’re very excited about it.
It’s almost time for the summer Las Vegas Market and I’m really looking forward to it! Not only will I get a chance to connect with the team from the North American Home Furnishings Association, but we’ll be set up in the new location for the Retailer Resource Center (Building B – 1050). From what I hear, it’s a fabulous new space! CrossCheck will be set up in Booth 28. I’ll be there, along with Director of Sales, Jason Lindell. If you’re going, I hope you stop by to see us. Here are some of things I’m looking forward to:
On the flight home I had a chance to reflect on the Home Furnishings Industry Conference (HFIC) that just concluded in New Orleans. It was an exciting and successful show for furniture retailers, designers and companies like mine that sell to these folks. In addition to some fun (see below), the event provided numerous opportunities and workshops that offered business advice, tips to improve sales and marketing support. Here are a few highlights.
I’m in New Orleans attending HFIC (the Home Furnishings Industry Conference). Today is day one and the conference has gotten off to a very exciting start. This conference is attended by home furnishing retailers from throughout the country and is a great opportunity to network, socialize and learn. Here’s a little more about the first day.
CrossCheck attendees are Charles Dortch III - VP of Field and Corporate Telesales, and Jason Lindell - Director of Sales. They will be featuring these check services for home furnishings merchants:
It’s my fifth day here in New Orleans. Day one – fly in. Day two – set up booth. Day three – look sharp for the evening reception. Day four – attend opening session, get inspired!, staff booth, meet a million new contacts, celebrate 30th anniversary, give away iPad, tweet, go to the Discover party, return to hotel, collapse. Day five – catch up on everything I didn’t do yesterday and then pack up. Wow! What a whirlwind. But I’m ready to start it all again tomorrow and here’s why.
It’s here, it’s happening and it’s moving fast! The Electronic Transaction Association (ETA) is holding its Annual Meeting and Expo in New Orleans this year and CrossCheck is here, right in the heart of it. Starting out with a great evening reception yesterday, the tradeshow continues today and tomorrow and the floor is buzzing with activity.
