CrossCheck
is an active member of several industry-related associations that are
dedicated to improving transaction processing and creating new technology
and establishing standards for it. These associations are guiding the
industry by providing a forum in which members share new discoveries and
exchange information to the benefit of consumers, merchants and service
providers.
We are currently members of:
Electronic Transaction Association® (ETA)
The ETA is an international trade association that serves transaction
processing products and service providers by providing education, advocacy
and a forum for the exchange of information. More than 425 organizations
from seven countries are ETA members. The ETA provides industry leadership
by hosting a number of meetings and trade shows every year, providing
education and communication tools and programs, maintaining a web site
and publishing Transaction Trends magazine and Interconnect newsletter.
The ETA has a credible, unified voice in the industry and provides effective
representation for its members.
Infrared Data Association® (IrDA)
The IrDA is an international organization that is dedicated to creating
new infrared technology and infrared data interconnection standards that
support a broad range of low-cost walk-up and point-to-point devices.
IrDA technology is already in over 300 million electronic devices including
desktops, notebooks, palm PCs, printers, digital cameras, public phones/kiosks,
cellular phones, pagers, PDAs, electronic books, electronic wallets, toys,
watches, and other mobile devices. CrossCheck and the IrDA are currently
participating in a project to enable wireless payments on a renowned university
campus. National Automated Clearing House Association®
(NACHA)
More than 12,000 financial institutions are represented by NACHA's industry
councils, including direct members, regional payment associations and
other organizations. NACHA develops operating rules and business practices
for the Automated Clearing House (ACH) network and for electronic payments
in the areas of Internet commerce, and electronic solutions that improve
payment systems for its members
and their customers.
Western Payments Alliance® (WesPay)
In addition to providing a strong voice for Western payments companies
in regulations and rules-making processes, WesPay provides publications,
check clearing services, professional certifications and marketing support
for members. Teleseminars, the online Payments Academy, and the Payments
Institute provide members a choice of classroom settings for WesPay's
payments education programs on topics including ACH, fraud avoidance,
and risk management.
Better Business Bureau
The BBB is an unbiased non-profit organization that sets and upholds high standards for fair and honest business behavior. Businesses that earn BBB Accreditation contractually agree and adhere to the organization’s high standards of ethical business behavior. The BBB provides objective advice, free BBB Reliability ReportsTM on businesses and BBB Wise Giving ReportsTM on charities, and educational information on topics affecting marketplace trust.
